I have a Canadian dime I got in with my change....
I live in the USA...

I was studying this dime and found something a lil peculiar so I have a question about a process in the way the dime in question is minted...

First here are the specs for the dime in question:

Specifications - 10 cents 2000
Alloy: 100% nickel
Weight: 2.07 grams
Diameter : 18.03 mm, thickness: 1.25 mm
Engraver: Obverse: Dora de P#65533;dery-Hunt, Ago Aarand, Reverse: Emanuel Hahn
Designer: Obverse: Dora de P#65533;dery-Hunt, Ago Aarand, Reverse: Emanuel Hahn
Edge: Reeded
Magnetism: Magnetic
Die axis: #8593;#8593;

According to specs the way the die is minted the die axis says double arrows upwards.....

Question is:

Are 2000 Canadian dimes minted similar to United states dimes when it comes to how the images on the front and reverse are stamped into the metal during the minting process;- meaning if you hold the coin with the Queens head oriented upwards and flip the dime from North to South the Blue schooner on the reverse side should be oriented upwards or upside down?

So when flipped in a North to south rotation the Bluenose Schooner will be facing upside down....

Thank you for your time.

If the Queen is facing north, the ship is also facing north, if it's facing down you have a cool rotation error

also take a look under the bust of the queen if there is a little P then you have an extremely rare coin.
