Stacks like this are far beyond anything I expect to ever need to manage, but even for smaller stacks, a lot of this is really great advice, I think.

Good general advice, particularly about educating your heirs on what to do with it.

The handwritten inventory sheets are a little old-school for my taste (I use a spreadsheet), but I like it all the same. And any way you do it, an inventory sheet is critical whether you have 50 ounces or 5,000.

Attempts to educate your heirs may be good but in most instances, just a waste of time. They'll usually do what they want with anything you leave them.
