Found this dime that looks almost black on both sides and the reed too...could it me missing clad?

I think it's not missing clad, but it probably has been living on the streets for a while or so. It seems like post mint damage to me.

Environmental damage. If the clad was missing you would see the copper center

Check the rim and you will probably see what I call the "clad sandwich". It has to be clad because of the year, but when I metal detect and I find a dime I immediately turn it on its side to look at it because it is faster than rubbing off the dirt and squinting at the date. If I see two different metal I know immediately it is clad and continue on.
