Is there any difference from a penny from a silver proof set and a normal proof set. Are they identical? Like, could a professional tell which one came from where?

Are you talking about a specific year, or all years in which they made "normal" and "silver" proof sets?

Yup, they are the same, which also goes for the dollar coins and nickel. This is why those who crack proof sets to fill album holes end up with a lot of duplicates.

Makes you wonder though. You would think that the Mint would have made a Silver Cent for those Silver Proof sets.

Would have been nice, but they are not authorized to do so.
