Hello, I'm new to coin errors but have been studying for about a week and I think I may have had beginners luck on a few really cool finds that are not listed yet. One is a 1984 P Liberty Quarter with an over strike that left a bb sized indention in the left thigh of the eagle and a crack leading to the right outside edge of the coin. The depth of the indention is about half the width of the quarter and the inside is clad as the rest of the coin. The other coin is a bent (little less than 90 degrees) 1999 D Delaware State Quarter that appears to have no scratches or pinch marks. Basically mint. It had to have come out of the machine this way. I have pics to show but I can post them without downsizing the files on a computer first. Can this be done straight from my iPhone? I would like to get these coins inspected and graded.

It sounds like both of the coins you have most likely have post strike damage, meaning they were damaged sometime after they were minted. Damaged coins have no numismatic value to collectors. Post some pictures to be sure.

If you go to 'reply to topic' for this thread then click on 'free image optimizer' you can down size it there-then hit 'apply changes' it should walk you through the process step by step

Yes I'm wondering if I can put the pictures up without using a computer. Can I size the files using an iPhone?

You have to post them to a site. Here is some more information: Sizing the images are a plus.

I'm sorry guys I'm having trouble navigating the forum. The shattered screen on my phone isn't helping#127384; Where do I need to be to upload the pictures for sizing . I read something about a green camera icon but I can't find it.

Above the "quick reply" box is a line of options. Select 'reply to topic'. That takes you to another screen where you will find 'upload image' and , yes, a little green camera.
Good luck.

You can also select the "Switch to Full Reply" button below the Quick Reply box.
This is helpful if you have already started to type and realized you need to access other features like photo uploads. Doing this will retain whatever you have entered in the QR box.
