I just got this from a world coin lot on ebay.
It's a 1943 brass threepence from the UK.

If you look at the letters OMN in the legend, you see what looks to me like extra metal/cud. I don't think it could be damage to the coin, since the O is struck on TOP of the extra metal, and the M is underneath.
