I am looking for some reputable Canadian coin dealers here in Canada.

Looking to purchase through the mail mainly.

I've checked a few on the net but would like some advise, opinions or recommendations from the people in this group.

Thanks for any help.

Hi, I've purchased from J&M in Vancouver, and have been happy with their prices/service.
Check out JandM.com, they have a price list for ICCS graded coins too.

Yeah--I'd second Colonial Acres. I haven't bought from them, but their grading/pricing looks fair.

Hey, Newfie... Try Colonial Acres Coins, in Ontario.
also George Manz coins in Regina.

I've bought many from both and find them excellent to deal with.
Hope this helps.

A word of warning about Colonial Acres from my own personal experience. They have great material if you're a buyer, but I don't recommend selling anything to them. You won't get even HALF of market value for your coins (They offered me $22 for a complete set of small cents that I sold for $100 on ebay later that week, and $1 for a coin that had a half ounce of silver worth over $9 melt at the time). That said, they do have an impressive inventory, and are decent to buy from.

Hi newfie
I've purchased from Colonial thru both ebay and direct orders and always been satisfied.

A couple of others I haven't seen mentioned are Gatewest Coins http://www.gatewestcoin.com/ in Manitoba - very nice quality coins, fast and reasonable shipping fee.

Universal Coins in Ottawa http://www.universalcoins.ca/ - only used them with ebay wins, coins were very nice quality, service was superb.

Yeah I have been looking for some coin dealer's online for decent S&H rates and a decent stock of coins . I am very happy with my Purchase at Colonial Acres and would say to anyone to go ahead. My only Problem with them is that they dont carry a Huge stock with them and hence why there always soldout of eagles or maple leafs.

I have bought from Gatewest once, and while they came through, their shipping was slower than I expected and they didn't warn me of that. Once I inquired and found out that they ship from their warehouse once a week, I was fine with it. I used to live just a few minutes from Colonial Acres and took my son there every time he had a half day of school. They have always been very courteous, even when they were busy, and they never brushed us off as non-buyers, and so we always bought something, even if it was only a few dollars. I've been very pleased with them, and would highly recommend them. They also do a monthly blowout newsletter that goes out on (or shortly after) the 10th of the month, but the good stuff goes quickly, but their is always some good stuff on it.
