So, any Debbie Downer (that's how we call it here, right?) would notice:

**disrespect of the Mint to people who already bought Olympic Loonie (I do not believe, that even those who got it within CAD200 order, will get a refund)

**collector's interest to this coin isn't high as Mint planned

**and in general, they have mountains of unsold coins (that considered not popular)

otherwise, why RCM will offer promotion/

On the big positive note:
congrats to people, who planned to get this Loonie, but haven't ordered yet!

So it comes down to buy $200 worth of coins and you get $52 worth of stuff back. Looking at it another way, you are getting 25% discount for coins. Not in cash but in products.

Looks like business is slow at the RCM right now.

Looks like he or she will wait will be rewarded, just too many issues, seemingly the RCM's new sale practice.

Glad I got the 2016 Lucky Loonie at CP last week.
Can't see myself getting $200 in coins that I like at the Mint now.
I have almost all of the other Lucky Loons, so I
would be a buyer no matter. No sour grapes.
I don't adhere to the spend-to-save line of thinking.
Others may have a regular purchasing "habit" in which
this marketing scheme is conducive to saving.
It is a bonus gift, as Bromburg says for loyal spenders.
Spend more and save.

All this correct. Who wanted the coin - already got it without waiting for discounts to come.

But what about following scheme:
1. Select any coins for CAD200 and order them
2. Get the coins and the "free stuff"
3. Return the coins "Sorry I do not like them"

Will RCM charge the customer for "free items"?
