Hey there friends,

I posted this picture a few days ago in the coin roll hunting forum. I was stoked to find this and when I opened the thread to read comments, I noticed there may be another D under there. Looks like it is rotated. What do you think?

Look like it was flattened or worn down during circulation. Note the date is widened as well.

Even though its not an error, that coin is still probably worth 100+ dollars due to its extremely low mintage of just over a million.

No known RPMs for the date at either Wexlers or Coppercoins.

I agree with coop; flattened from circulation. Still a great coin!

While we are on the subject of this year: This one is also one that is altered from a 1944-D to make a 1914-D How can you tell the difference?

Note the gap between the 9 and 1 (that used to be a '4')
That is how you can tell a faked one for that year.
