"Can't even tell you what they've done to me"
Sounds more serious than a wooden box. I'm curious now

So the people, spent directly at RCM let's say 2k-5K CAD, and basically the best freebie taken away, with the late notice? Should we expect some increase in the prices for the coins, so this way RCM will give the discounts to MC?

You better believe it Silveroid and it wont be to give discounts it will be to make up for the lost revenue from the stupid business decisions they make everyday, but when you're the only game in town you can do what ever you want without consequences everybody else will have to chip in so the bonuses get handed out.

The bait and switch is the oldest con in the book. It is actually illegal and non-government businesses are usually forced to honour the original advertised deal or face a very hefty fine.

Okay... I don't get it... The Mint's Marketing Team is pathetic. I received an e-mail yesterday from the Mint: Masters Club REWARDS CORRECTION August 17, 2016 Dear XXXXXXXXX, On June 27, we sent you an e-mail detailing the benefits of the 2016-2017 Masters Club program. In that message, we advised you—in error—that you will be receiving a Masters Club Rewards redemption code*** based on your total purchases of Eligible RCM Products** made between July 1, 2015, and June 30, 2016. In fact, because you joined your current Masters Club membership tier during the 2015-2016 program year, you did not begin earning Masters Club Rewards until July 1, 2016. Instead, we will be sending you a custom wooden collector case in August 2016 to recognize your loyalty during the 2015-2016 program year. You will receive your Rewards redemption code following the current 2016-2017 program year. We apologize for any confusion and look forward to sending you your collector case. For more information about Masters Club Rewards, the Masters Club program, and your Rewards status, please visit http://www.mint.ca/mastersclub. Thank you for your continued loyalty. John Moore Vice President, Sales

Good for you all but that's simply hilarious! If RCM can't keep straight something so simple as what's been promised to their Most Loyal clients....... Who's minding the mint?

Quote:Possibly cut backs within the RCM, I don't think their sales have been that great this year. Looks like things are worse than many thought at the RCM. They just released their Q2 report and press release over the past day: - http://www.mint.ca/store/news/news-....V7bY8vkrJpg- http://www.mint.ca/store/dyn/PDFs/R...%20FINAL.pdfA few highlights: - Numismatics business revenues in Q2 2016 declined 9%, to $42.3 million, compared to Q2 2015. - Consolidated profit after taxes declined to $9.0 million from $12.6 million compared to the same quarter of 2015 mainly due to soft Numismatics performance. - Continued strength in Bullion revenue was partially offset by the decline in Numismatics revenue mainly due to lower revenues from face value products combined with temporary market softness. - Profits after taxes declined 22% to $19.0 million from $24.3 million. The increase in revenue was mainly driven by the bullion demand. The decrease in profit was mainly due to the decline of Numismatics revenues resulting from the lower sales of face value products and higher provision for slow moving inventories. - During the second quarter of 2016, sales of numismatic gold products declined 28% to $6.4 million compared to $8.9 million in the same period in 2015. Sales of numismatic silver products declined 8% to $32.5 million compared to $35.4 million in 2015. I think one could do a fair amount of "reading between the lines" with the above statements. We could be seeing a few more changes to the RCM NCLT program before the dust settles.

Quote: decline in Numismatics revenue mainly due to lower revenues from face value products combined with temporary market softness. Temporary? Hopefully for them thats what it is, but its more like the world wide flood of NCLTs, which I don't think is "Temporary" Who knows I guess, more people retiring and buying this stuff may help their sales but they need to learn/remember that less is more when it comes to NCLTs n , if you flood the market with a product you might end up like the 1990s hockey card fiasco. The RCM was riding the wave in 2012 - 2014 and uping production , hiring more staff etc etc, I guess like any normal company would when times are good. I wish they would sell their bullion directly instead of just through the big dealers etc.

If they sold buillion directly to the public, I bet fewer people would but NCLTs once they compare the costs. But I'm sure more people would start buying buillion

I'm glad some people are getting the boxes but that makes it all the more confusing. The longer one is s masters club member, the fewer perks they get?
