I don't know if this is the right forum, but I couldn't really find one specific to something like this. I don't know if this is a spy coin (my father suggested this), a magician's trick coin, or some kind of error, but it probably shouldn't have been in my coin rolls.

As you can see, the reverse is missing and it's like the obverse is just a shell with bullseye-like grooves on the other side.

It's half of one!

The grooves are from the machine that hollowed it out. There is a video floating around online of how they are made, but I don't have a link to it.

You might try to find a coin that will fit in the back and you can put it back to work as a magic coin. Possible English half Penny fit? Gold dollar? You might try a coin show with foreign coins. There might be one there that will work?

The reverse may have been another tapered down obverse? Some foreign coins are thinner and may fit flush on the reverse.
