Having watched several members post their Indian coins I thought I would dip my toe in the water Knowing very little I opted for a cheap coin that wouldn't hurt if it isn't genuine, happy to pay a few pounds for the education Sold unattributed, believed to be Bhartrdaman. The 1st coin on the list maybe ? http://coinindia.com/galleries-bhartrdaman.html Opinions welcome, does it look ok and did I do alright for my 1st go ?

Not really my area of collecting (yet?!), but looks like a pretty nice pick-up to me.

Nice one. Yeah, that bug does seem to be spreading around here. I think Echizento is patient zero!

Nice one! I haven't had the time to really get into the swing of learning to match the Brahmi legends to ID mine, but they are fun little coins to collect. I have never seen one faked before, and "shiny" ones go for about $5-9 unattributed on ebay.

I really like these little drachms of the Western Satraps. I wish I would have completed the series before they have gotten so expensive. This is a very nice example, it's seldom to find these struck where all the legend is visible. Nahapana 32-77 AD

The Nahapana issue is especially interesting in that it is the only example (AFAIK) that has an only somewhat blundered "Greek" legend. I saw one on ebay once that had something like "NAHAP---CHXX--IOX"

Be careful, once you catch the bug, the prognosis is not good...
