First, a 1 Franc from 1918. This came out of a pile of "junk" silver, so bought at melt. Unfortunately, apparently not much of a price premium for this issue even when uncirculated, likely a function of over 50 million being struck that year.
The other, an 1863(A) 5 Centimes tossed in with a bunch of nondescript culls, was even a better buy at just 5¢ US. What looks like rim damage at first may in fact be a production flaw, as there's definitely delamination there. But either way it detracts from what's otherwise a coin that's in unusually nice condition compared to what's normally encountered with coinage of Napoleon III.
