Found this one in a German auction, and I got it for a little less than $150. It is a lifetime issue in fairly high grade. I really like the high relief on these early issues, and the detail on the eagle and round positioning of the letters were different than most of this type. The mintmark almost looks like a pedestal. Tarsos mint. Price 3019. Here is the other one I bought to be used as trade fodder to get a more-valuable coin I have been eying for a while. It was the same price.

Nice pick-up, Thomas...I like the plow/plough mintmark. Don't see that type everyday.
Congrats and best wishes on flipping the second one.

Very nice! I actually didn't know that lifetime tets could be so cheap in that condition. Nice and circulated with some history, but full details too.

I've been looking for one myself as I realize they are amazingly cheap for an ancient in great condition.

The surfaces look a tad strange but for that money how can you go wrong?
Clear details, centred, of historical interest and a lifetime issue, good size and weight....
All in all great pick ups.

It honestly looks like it might have circulated for some time, rather than going straight from the mint into the ground, like so many of these huge silvers seem to have done.

I've been doing some research on these coins to judge rarity and value. The first is a Price 3019, struck from 327-323. It is fairly common and worth a little more than I paid for it. I really like it, and I think it was worth every penny I paid. https://www.cNGCoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=42108The second one was a surprise. It is apparently from the scarce Ake mint, and lifetime issues are nearly impossible to find for sale. As I did my research, I learned that the Ake mint was the only one from Alexander's reign to date their coins, which appeared as a reign year underneath Zeus' forearm. This one says CY 20, or 327/6 BC, which is the earliest dated coin of Alexander the Great (or maybe the Greek empire?). The attribution is Price 3250. I could only find two sale results, one for $1250 and another for $1200, though they were both better than mine. https://www.cNGCoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=102382https://www.cNGCoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=161888

I sold the second one for what I paid for the pair, so I effectively got an Alexander lifetime tet for free.
