Hey everyone, I picked up an interesting piece of scrip at the coin shop in Sussex, NB. On one side it says "Numismatic Adventure Expedition Certficate One Souvnir" Then it is stamped Moncton, NB E1C 1H8.

I looked up the postal code for The Coin Cabinet in Moncton and that is their postal code.

Here is where it gets interesting (to me at least), the back of the note has a list of destinations. Between Canada, France and America all the places listed can be reached by either the North American Atlantic Ocean or the Ottawa Peninsula.

Was this some sort of Numismatic cruise ship or something coin guys did as a hobby on their own. I can't find anything on google, ebay or C.C.F. . It is an interesting note to say the least.

Here is a list of destinations.

Catawba Island
Cornwall
Baie-Comeau
Labrador City
Churchill Falls
Happy Valley-Goose Bay
Blanc Sablon
St Barbe
Gander
Fortune
St. Pierre and Miquelon
Swift Current
Saint John's
Argentia
Sydney
Charlottetown
Halifax
Bathurst
Rimouski
Ottawa
Port Clinton

If anybody has some I would love to hear about it.

Swift Current is in southern Saskatchewan.
No cruise ships there.
Perhaps there is some other connection.

@harmonica, I'd be interested in a pic of the scrip. I don't see your exact cruise on the interwebs, but evidently the ANA did at least one coin-themed cruise:

Maybe someone on CCF attended?

DBM, there is a Swift Current in Newfoundland as well. It is an ocean front settlement.

spence, I will get it scanned here when I have a chance. I will be in Moncton in a few weeks so I may ask about it when in the city.

Not yet, ace. I will be at the world's largest garage sale in Moncton selling coins so I do plan to bring it to the Coin Cabinet and ask about it. Thank you for the suggestion. Hopefully my trip will get me to the bottom of this.
