Hello all and Happy Friday!

I am considering this coin but am a little nervous about the stuff going on on the surfaces, especially the reverse. Additionally NGC's pics show a much darker coin than the seller's, indicating that perhaps the seller played with the exposure and who knows what else. I will leave the grading unsaid to give everyone a chance but would like some expert opinions on the surface issues.

The first of each side is the seller's, 2nd is NGC's.

Thanks!

Looks AU-55 and possibly 58. Also looks original in these photos.

AU58. really nice piece. SYEB I think the white stuff you are referring to is the underlying luster peaking through toning

The seller's pics look much better than the NGC pics.

To me, the reverse looks like someone MAY have removed some gunk from around the devices revealing the underlying surfaces. It does have a weird look to it IMHO.

Must admit that, comparing obverse and reverse pics, AcesKings may have a point about possible gunk removal.

NGC is more lenient than PCGS on dark coins that lack luster but even at that this piece looks AU53 to me.

AU-55. If I had to guess I'd think the Heritage pics would be the most accurate.
