Thanks Dustin! I haven't been CRH in months, so I hope to have a find a week by working some change. I picked up a War Nickel out of the vending machine at work 3 weeks ago, a 1960 Washington quarter in change last week, and this double clip this week. A soft streak going...I wonder what next week has in store?

When verifying a double clip, one of the first things to look at would be to see if it's even possible. I mean will it fit the webbing?

Another thing to check is the Blakesley effect. I don't see that on this coin but it may be partially due to the size of the coin and the size of the clip, or maybe even the photos.

Nice work cwb! I don't see the Blakesly Effect either and it may be due to the size of the coin as you suggest. The biggest tell next to your overlay is the flow of material around the date. In hand the break edge is also distinctive.

But the ends of the devices look correct. Also the fading of the devices towards the clip. I feel this is the real deal. Incomplete planchet with two clips.

Very nice finds Rackster! If I could have "change" days like that, I wouldn't bother with the rolls.
