I use the ebay "add to cart" option to keep my awareness of coins I want to buy while I am still looking around for other stuff, especially other stuff from the same seller.

Questions:

Does the seller see that the item I have added to my cart is added to a cart or have some other indication that somebody may be interested in buying that item?

Does the seller see the identity of the cart adder?

I understand that others can buy the coins I have in my cart because I have not yet committed to purchase those coins. How long can something stay in my cart if it doesn't sell?

TIA

No, there is no "view items in carts" button. There is a "number of watchers", but you cannot tell who.

I have noticed usually,if I hit Watch a coin or add to cart and don't make a move on it,that the seller sometimes reduces the price a bit to try and get someone to bit,its as if they are fishing so to speak a bit,see a nibble and try to get them to pounce on it. I believe some sellers pay attention to those things, but they cannot determine who the exact person is.

Nope, sellers have no idea

Again, sellers have no idea...

I believe items will stay in your ebay cart until you either a. check out or b. the items listing ends, or c. remove it from your cart

There is no way for a seller to have any clue if there is an item in someones cart...

Yea but if I "watch" a item,I've gotten a message before from ebay stating the item has been marked at a lower price. More often then not too,the seller sees more watchers so he knows someone has been looking at his listings. Like I said it's like fishing a bit. You see a nibble and you lower the price to try to get them to bite
