I am not sure which categories to select when reporting a counterfeit coin to ebay. I would like to be able to add some reasons for the report, but the choices force one to submit a 'canned' (pre-written) description for most options.

For example, consider these options:

In a sense, a counterfeit coin is an unmarked replica, but I'm not sure if that conveys accurately the serious nature of the fraudulent listing.

On the other hand, the 'Fraudulent listings' option does not seem right either, particularly the part about "without the owner's authorization."

Which categories do you use?

Not sure - have not done it for awhile as ebay just ignores my "reports". Use this forum and follow its rules for best results.

I used the replica option with similar "results". Thus, I concur on this matter with Jim.

I think if you click "Copyright and trademark," you'll get a choice of "counterfeit" for the second line. Then the detailed reason will be "counterfeit."

Have to agree with Jim- I have reported any number of coin and stamp lots to ebay and have never seen one taken down involuntarily.
