Sorry guys just seeing this now via a link in an old email that I just found. Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with the new vertical presses, however, I'm convinced that some feeder mechanism is occurring via feeder mechanisms. Just a very strong gut feeling from what I've seen on quite a few coins in recent years. Maybe Mike Diamond knows more about this.

I've seen this as well on several dimes.. I found them several years ago and put them in a flip and tossed them in a big box with my other uncategorized finds... now I'm going to have to go search for them and see what year they are.. LOL
