selling 1 bar at spot per household is a nice perk. I don't mind the design

I think they are nice looking bars that should be easy to sell in the future.

That answered one of my other questions, these should be pretty liquid to sell, I was thinking.

I don't mind the design Even though the spot price bar with free shipping is not the RCM design it's a good offer for sure. http://www.jmbullion.com/starter-pack/Quote: That answered one of my other questions, these should be pretty liquid to sell, I was thinking. Very liquid but I don't like the premium, those RCM bars are 17% over melt!

$283.83 CAD That's $13 too much for what it is. Liquid, yes, but pointless to spend so much for silver as a metal. Premiums are just the norm, and you pay extra for the name and design, which if you have money to burn why not, however the point of buying bullion is not to waste money but to save, is it not?
On the flip side, the liquidity of such a name is probably a very strong point. A bank may buy this bar and not a tube of generic buffaloes, for example. Buy it if you desire some extremely liquid emergency bullion and you have everything else you craved for (Kooks, Pandas, Zombucks, whatever).

@BH1964 I did see that, and other bars are going for very close to spot but I dont know, I really like that RCM logo on the bar lol.. so that premium doesn't turn me off lol I didnt really see other bars that I liked. Too bad there are no bars with elephants on them right now LOL I do recall seeing some 8 ounce bars with an elephant stamped on them a couple years ago lol oh btw, I did see MCM has them for a lot less..

@Libertad Yes, I think that is the strong point for me, as a collector, if I decided to liquidate, being an RCM bar, that shouldn't be a hindrance.

If that's your goal, American Eagles shouldn't look so bad now, as boring as they are... They do feel good in hand, although I am partial to Libertads whenever they are available.

Libertad, I have plenty of both metals in regards to eagles, got tired of them. Looking for something different. I thought these bars would fit the bill.
I can appreciate why folks like to stack their maple leafs, eagles, libertads, seeing their are pretty liquid, safe, tho boring and repetitive in a sense. I was looking to widen out in a sense.

Picked up two 10 ounce RCM bars. Into the deep reserve they go! Gresham's Law will decide what gets melted in its favor.

I have been considering a purchase of these 10oz RCM bars. They are very attractive and issued by a government and are .9999. How can one go wrong? I like the fact these are dateless and not a coin so that leaves hefty numismatic value out to the curb. That is the problem with maple leafs and ASE's. Would like to see actual photos if anyone can post what they have of these bars.

As these two fine gentlemen above me have noted, there are many reasons to buy these bars. I appreciate their liquidity, easy storage, and as was said, they are made by a well known and respected goverment mint, pure silver and they look GREAT.
I cant see buying ASEs or any rolls (sans somalian elephants)after seeing these bars, great stuff. I think between these bars and a panda sheets, this is the best way to collect silver.

I think it would be great if the RCM did these in 5oz bars as well for the budget minded. I think they'd do quite well.

looking good. Too bad they don't ship to Europe. I think it'll be easy to sell here after a while, too.
