Odd Penny - Need Pro Opinion - Coin Community Forum

foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 03/07/2008 8:52 pm It is damaged. I have a few around here with the same type of damage. The obverse indicates that it was probably caught in a mechanism of a coin counting machine. I have also seen coins that were jammed in old style vending machines (Like a Gumball Machine) that when removed, look like this.
