I've searched around for any info on this and have not had any success. Is this filled mint-mark a common variation? I have two of 'em which I almost dumped back into circulation but I thought I'd better ask first to see if its worth keeping.

These would be common...no 'variety' - just a die chip or worn punch. A 'variety' would be a doubled mintmark.
