Would anyone know a fair price for a 1945 Specimen quarter ICCS SP-65...I noticed one in the Heritage auction coming up shortly...also any input on this coin would be appreciated...thanks for providing your thoughts

I think "fair" is what your willing to pay for it.
Charlton puts a price of $1500.00 whereas
CoinsandCanada lists it at $2400.00.
Quite a difference in listing price.

ICCS has a population report of 20 for 1945 SP Quarters
with 4 of them being SP65.

Maybe one of our dealer members can give you a better idea on true value.

the coin you're talking about will likely run you a lot, the coin is gorgeous with a heavy cameo finish and premium eye appeal.

Specimen coins are like diamonds....easier to buy, then to sell. Very limited market for these coins, so I would be very reluctant to use any price guide information, as there are few transactions to determine the marketplace.

I paid $600CDN total including shipping/fees/taxes for my '46 SP65 which Charlton lists at $900 if that helps you at all.

I tapped out at my pre set limit...it went for some serious money, $1,292.50 USD
Back to the drawing board I suppose...
