Another instance of serendipity and the randomness of circulation:

Serendipity-Of-Circulation

Serendipity-Of-Circulation

These notes found in circulation are only 10 serials apart (yet belonged to different original straps), but the second turned up more than 14 months after the first.

You must check all your serial numbers. Ever find anything worth keeping?

Wow, that you found that is amazing. Are you gathering data for blocks besides JB-C?

Yes, I record everything that I get my hands on. As for "worth keeping," I guess that's pretty subjective. There are lots of numbers that I'd consider worth keeping that most collectors wouldn't. But I've never found a solid or ladder (well, what most collectors call a ladder) or those sorts of things. Once found a 7/8 (55555535) but it was in terrible shape. Find the occasional repeater or radar and similar numbers.

Yes, while I'm looking for JB-C notes especially, I actively seek out all 2009 $10s for a couple of reasons. First, I need to know if the plates that I'm looking for (55 and 56 in particular) will turn up in other blocks. Second, I'm trying to understand more broadly the plate distribution within the JB-C block in the context of the entire series.

That's outstanding, if not a little odd. I mean that in the most respectful way, by the way. Are you writing a book?
