Honestly...I don't know a thing about medieval coins but I decided to try my luck! It was the top coin that caught my eye (the seller probably did that on purpose)

The coins looked authentic and cheap enough to gamble...what do you think? If there're fake I will simply return them no big deal.

If anyone wants to tell me what I have that would be awesome (but you don't have to).

Nice lot, looks like they might all be from medieval Hungary. Here is an excellent PDF that you can download and their coins.

Perfect, thanks for the quick reply and the resources!

Now that I know the possible country of origin I can start my research :)

@northsidety, I agree with @echizento that this is a great little lot of coins!

I also agree that these are medieval Hungary, with the possible exception of the 2nd from the left. I'd need to see the other side on that one to confirm. As you know, best way to learn is to take your best shot and then post here for confirmation or correction.

edit: To answer your question about real vs. fake, there is nothing that I see in the pic to make me think that they are not real.

I found the stylistic similar to Janos Hunyadi coins http://katalogus.numismatics.hu/adv...nyadi+janos+ And the full Arpad Shield I found only on Hunyadi coins.
