Yes, the scratches are deep om both sides and that's a shame BUT it's really, really old and it was really used. I think it's kind of amazing.

If you're okay with what you paid then that's all that matters.

I still get blown away when I look at the dates on coins. I'm pretty sure it's the real reason I don't have any ancients -- mind boggling.
