But I never shy from acquiring common coins if they have good 'eye appeal'. What makes this one special to me is the pronounced thick green patina it has acquired over the millennia. In an era when high quality modern fakes are finding their way into the hands of many collectors (and dealers too !) this type of patina is your surest guarantee. Despite this coins beautiful condition (always a good reason to examine carefully) the patination type allows one to be 99.99% sure it is the real deal ! Report this Post to the Staff
