dd27 Pillar of the Community United States 666 Posts	Posted 09/16/2016 03:57 am If one cannot discern the date, then the coin cannot be graded and is usually designated "Genuine" or "Authentic", meaning in this case, "Yes, it is a Kennedy half dollar, but that's all we know." The last two digits of the date on this coin are closer together than the first two, which is consistent with the 1990 half. Report this Post to the Staff

I suspect it was a casino coin but I could be wrong - could have been a pocket piece that was accidentally spent....or a pocket piece that was purposely spent in case of an emergency.
