A pickup for today.

I was not planning on picking up this coin anytime soon,
but sometimes a deal comes along and you have to jump on it.

Fills a harder hole on the gold page.

All opinions welcome

Great looking page.

I only have a few Mexican gold coins, all smaller ones than your 20. Just the 2 and 2.5's I think.

Held a 50 peso once.

Only 1.2 ounces or so but it felt like a ton of bricks.

I'm a sucker for that eagle with a snake generally, but your 20 has a great looking obverse. Nicer than many of their designs.

The one I have not seen it the one Peso gold.
But I have not looked very hard for it yet.

I may pull some money out of other investments to
purchase the 50 Peso. I just found out today a
friend sold three of them last week .. if I had
known that I may have the hole filled too.

I really do like this 20 Peso .. on this one,
I do like the obverse is better than other Mexican gold.

Nice coin! You probably know that the 1959 was restruck in later years, not that this detracts in any way. The first time I saw it, the design bothered me. Non-concentric circles? And VEINTE PESOS with each letter a different size? I got over it, and this is now one of my favorites.

Thanks again...

A lot of people I know talk up the 50 Peso gold.
And it really is a nice ...big ..gold coin.

But

When I show this 20 Peso around, I have been getting nothing
but positive remarks. This is a very cool coin to hold in hand.

I just finished a date set of the 20 peso. 6 coins and I love 'em all. My favorite design of any world gold.

Personally, I think the Aztec Calendar automatically makes one think of Aztec gold and all the legends and stories that have been written on the subject thus giving it great allure. Just imagine if the Mexican Mint would have chosen this design for the 50 pesos gold, what a beast it would have been!

Mexico has a lot of beautiful coins to offer and this one is no exception. I'd really like to get one myself one day, but over here they're very hard to get.

Anyway, really lovely coin!
