I was sorting through my roll of 2016 S circulated quarters, Harpers Ferry, and noticed what appears to be a small thread that was struck through on the obverse.
What do you guys think? I stuck it in a 2x2 instead of putting it in the tube with the others.

Yes. More than likely that is a small struck-through area on the coin. Struck through fiber/string.

Great photos by the way, but I think I've told you that before : )

The best way to tell it is not is scratch, but a struck through is this.
1. The ends have an abrupt stop.
2. The trench it leaves is rounded at the bottom. A scratch will usually be squared.

3. The line will not be straight, but curving in the shape what formed the struck through area.
