As a type collector I had never set out to complete any series of US coins. I mostly just pick and choose, concentrating on those US types for which I don't have examples. I purchased an AU Liberty Half Eagle at a nice price from a dealer website and realized that I had actually completed a series, basically by accident.

What series? Why, the complete set of Liberty Half Eagles minted in Denver, Colorado! So what if it's only two coins, it's still a series!

hmm..definitely a series. now you should try to get a complete series of "D" half eagles. that would be very impressive.
