So I did a trade today:

80 quarters:
40 1964
20 1964D
20 1936D

for

4 Cents:
1911S VG $55
1912S VF $25 (down from 42)
1914D G6 $100 (down from 125 which was down from 200)
1931S XF $100 (down from 125)
and $20 bucks.

He gave me 15X face which equated to $300 which is $3.75 each. He sells them for $4.00 each. He obviously will make his money due to getting the cents cheap. I feel good about the deal. What do you guys think?

Seems fair to me. You got two keys and two semi-keys that you needed and the dollar value was roughly equal

If you're happy, thats all that matters. Easier to sell the quarters in the long run should you need the cash though.

Seems perfectly fair, especially if you traded with a LCS.

I appreciate all of your replies, thank you. My phone takes such bad quality photos that it's not really worth posting pictures to show the coin quality. You can't even see the lines in the wheat stalks in the photos and the dates and mint marks aren't that discernable either but here's some pics anyway.

I had to take the pics from that distance in order to get any detail to show and I didn't want to try cropping the photos on my phone so that's why there's so much extra to the photos. I apologize if that is a nuisance to anyone.

Getting 15X face is a great deal for you; unless some of those 1936D quarters were VF or better.

I bet he meant to type 1963D, not 1936D.

Steele, I know! I asked him how he can pay that good and he just said I stick them in the bowl for $4 and if they don't pay it they don't get it. So he must sell the quarters faster for $4 each than he does the cents. He said the 14D sat awhile.

These two coins are representative of the conditions of the ones I traded:

Unless the photo is really misleading, I'd say that 14-D could easily be worth more than $100. It looks clean and nice.

I thought it was worth it. There is a small 'die break?' on the reverse near the 'm' in America. I'm not sure how that would factor in. The tips of the wheat stalk lines are visible though.

I commandeered my fiance's phone and was able to get some better pictures. The pictures have revealed blemishes that I didn't notice without magnification. What do you think?
