The rims are square/strong enough to be a PL in my opinion. I don't think they made specimens in 1957 though... maybe someone with more expertise will confirm that.

No specimen coins were minted from 1954 to 1963, so you most likely have a PL.

If you click on the photos, they will enlarge by at least 25%.

I'm seeing die polishing striations struck onto the coin, consistent with pl dies of the time? Maybe you could post pictures of the coin at the least flattering angle and we could tell if they are polished coin lines or polished die lines?

Those aren't die polish lines on the caribou's neck.
Those are PMD polishing lines.
Die polishing only affects the highest areas of the die.
Silver coins don't like to strike up brilliant on brilliant like the nickel PL and SP coins do, there is virtually always some degree of contrast between the fields and devices,no highly reflective caribou's.
Them's bag marks, which shouldn't appear on PL coins, on the obverse to the east and southeast of the Queen's face.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I would agree with DBM. Polished. It's just not a natural looking surface.
