seen those marks in front of the Queen many
times . Agree PMD .Having said that this would not be
the first mint set coin to get into circ.
Me thinks P/L .Polished ? to me the jury still out

Still,a beauty

The second pic posted of the rev shows very light linear striations in the field, not on devices, which implies pl.

Though I'm Not as confident as before, because I see what appears to be retained luster deep between the denticles, which implies a polishing, and luster does not exist on pl strikes.

As I said before it would be helpful to capture an unflattering image of the coin, with light not spread out diffused over the entire surface. We need to see if there is any hash markings on the surface, which would imply a polishing.

Jury is out for me too

This is probably a coin where it needs to be in hand and rotated to look for any PMD type polishing. It is too much of a camera, lighting and angles game.

If the op is happy, awesome, if thinking about TPG, probably best to get another set of experienced eyes on it, as a details grade would suck.

I have seen some great looking coins in photos and some great looking photos of junk coins. I wouldn't buy this one unless seen in hand, burned too many times.

If untouched, nice coin.

Was a nice coin but yes, something was off. I wasn't going to take a chance sending it in, had my doubts looking at it up close. Seller graciously gave me a refund never asking for the coin back. I sent it back anyway and took the hit for the return shipping...no biggie.
