The September close to end, means the October RCM release will appear soon. According to the people's rep, the release will be "Big" means, the Mint will offer some irresistible item(s) that everyone will want. As I understand, this not the next 2 oz SD (this one will be in November). But looks like, it will be 5 oz selectively plated 1967-2017 Silver Dollar priced CAD 550+ [Mint understood the idea - in the past people bought SD design reproductions, last year the 2 oz SD went well, so why not the 5oz this time] Anyway, for the non-MC collectors worth to follow up the Coins.4.Fun listings in the close days, to see the coins in advance....

I'm going to guess the 4th coin of the Weather Phenonium Series will be released in October, for Autumn. Considering last month there was a Snowflake, I'd hope so anyway.
And I shall attempt to contain my excited anticipation as I realize that I may be the only one here who got caught up in this series which began with the Summer Storm - Lightening Coin, then Winter and somewhat disappointing frozen Evening Grosebeak, the Summer Rainbow, then_____. For me, the weather phenonium series was a little different, a nice change from the more traditional themes. I hope the 4th coin will be a bedazzling finish to it and also that it manages to deviate from the frequently used maple leaf theme.

The 1967-2015 gold plated 5 oz could be a fast sell out coin if it is a commissioned coin. It will be a very popular coin.

And thank you, MTS, for the following info: Quote: the coin in question is marked as 1867-2017 (not 1967), celebrating 150 years of the confederation Commissioned (probably), overpriced.. but still will nicely fit the best of the 5oz coins like Penny, 50 cents, etc ADDED: While thinking deeper, I wondering: except the "money grab" for RCM, how exactly re-using the designs of 1967 coins connected to the 150 Canada Anniversary?

Or is it another "exclusive"?

So does anyone actually know what coins are being released in October, aside from the Canada 150 and '67 big coins?

Thanks @MoneyPenny
I received email as well. Yup I ordered the big coin series. Also, the butterfly is a masters exclusive as well to get a certificate from 1-1500.
The scalloped orca (Master Club) is on the advance release as well (Coin #2) at 99.95

Aside from the big coin series, I personally think that every single coin being issued this month will be available at issue price - or below - through dealers or on the secondary market. Despite all of the increased hype from the RCM ("special" e-mails from Sales Reps, numerous " RCM First" flags on coins, and "exclusive" offers), I'm finding it harder and harder to purchase from the RCM knowing there will be better deals later on.

I love the set but I agree with others, it is too expensive for me. If anything, I think the best coins to buy separately would be the silver dollar and penny. I may just get the penny given how no penny has been made since 2012.

Did anyone notice the mintage on the 1/2 oz silver NHL passion to play series? Toronto have a mintage of 5,000 more than the others, which are listed at 10,000.
