I can't give you a $ answer but for me, how I go about determining a max amount on the secondary market that I think is fair, I look mostly at both the recent sold prices and number of recent sales on ebay, blended with an eye to dealer current list price. On the left-hand side of ebay, after the selection is made, click the option to view "sold". A Google search is helpful in locating which dealers have the specific items for sale, although I usually search the websites of J&M and Gatewest because Google doesn't always pick them up. (But ignore dealer listings that are "out of stock" as often the prices are not current.)
As you're interested in purchasing a group of items, a Lot, it goes without saying you'd need to estimate a price that you're willing to pay for each separate item, then add them together. While someone here may be able to give you an specific answer, the research of prices and estimated current value is a worthwhile process to undertake for any collector who intends to buy on the secondary market. It's also interesting to observe what sometimes can be extreme variances in opportunities to buy.
