I'm curious to know what everyone thinks a fair price would be for the following coins as a package deal:
1/25 oz gold penny
1/2 oz silver with pink gold plated penny
5 oz silverpenny
5 coin silver set of old penny designs
Special wrapped roll of 50 pennies (last million)

I can't give you a $ answer but for me, how I go about determining a max amount on the secondary market that I think is fair, I look mostly at both the recent sold prices and number of recent sales on ebay, blended with an eye to dealer current list price. On the left-hand side of ebay, after the selection is made, click the option to view "sold". A Google search is helpful in locating which dealers have the specific items for sale, although I usually search the websites of J&M and Gatewest because Google doesn't always pick them up. (But ignore dealer listings that are "out of stock" as often the prices are not current.)

As you're interested in purchasing a group of items, a Lot, it goes without saying you'd need to estimate a price that you're willing to pay for each separate item, then add them together. While someone here may be able to give you an specific answer, the research of prices and estimated current value is a worthwhile process to undertake for any collector who intends to buy on the secondary market. It's also interesting to observe what sometimes can be extreme variances in opportunities to buy.

The 1200 bucks is not to far off, they are rarely offered at GTA shows,, so ebay is probably your best bet, seen a 5 oz. penny a dealer wanted 900.00

You are better off selling them individually than as a package because you will get more money.

Its like hockey cards, sets always sell for less than the card individually.

Also, people likely have one or more of the items and they don't want to buy as a group.

Unless you already have a buyer who wants that specific package, then selling individually will bring in more money.

Let us know how it works out.

Cheers!

I was thinking somewhere in the $650 range for the 5oz and $350 for the 5 coin set, so $1200 or so does seem about right. Maybe $150 for the gold, $75 for the 1/2 oz and $25 for the roll? Do these number sound about right as to being a fair deal for BOTH the buyer and seller, taking into account the current market and the issue prices?
Is there even a decent market for these still?

A nice 5oz could go $750 and the 5 coin set $450.
