I have this 1985 half dollar that the weight and diameter are off on. as you can see in the pictures. Not sure if it is a legit error, but thought I would post here first for starters. thanks and opinions welcomed

What does the edge look like. It may have been altered?

Are the reeds as deep as a normal coin? Something is reducing the weight and the diameter?

Here is the best spot. I was wondering if it was sanded on the edges and reduced the weight a bit. The reeds seem too visible on the obverse. Like it was altered or the planchet was thin? But seeing how deep the reeds are, might help us to figured, altered or an issue with the planchet.

So you need a side by side of a regular half in that year range?

Maybe a side by side of the depth of the reeds on a normal coin and your coins reeds. That might show us it is has been altered or if it was a full strike with an under weight planchet.
