2000-D Kennedy Half "Slider"?

I'm just curious what might have caused this. I'm guessing the planchet had this on it before it was stamped.

Also notice on the obverse the date and letters aren't flat. They kinda angle up toward the rim. The following picture shows this pretty good:

You can see where the angle starts in this picture. All the way around the coin about half way up the letters.

Yes. The planchet had those lines before it was struck. A lot of times the sheets of metal that become blanks don't get polished well enough and some of the lines from the sheet making process show on the final coins. It's not very uncommon, especially lately.
