I am assumming head of Apollo and Sikyon Dove flying left.

I cannot find other examples and unsure whether this is authentic.

Any Help Appreciated.

Looks like it was made to sit in the center of a necklace.

Definitely does not look like an authentic Greek coin. It looks struck rather than hammered, and shows zero signs of circulation or even being buried in the ground. Best case scenario, if it is a jewelry piece, it might be real silver.

I was able to locate a similar example in an obol, but the weight you indicated would be for a Diobol and I can not find this type being struck in that weight. I suspect this isn't a genuine coin.

My gut said fake. Cool! That means I'm learning about these Greek coins.

I guess it is my own fault for buying off ebay. The user had high positive feedback so I assumed they were Ok. The seller is handsofhistory and it looks like they have a second account, egdirdlewendy.

As you say, Apollo69, live and learn. Handsofhistory/edirdlewendy is on Forumancientcoin's "Notorious Fake Sellers List." When buying ancients on ebay, avoid all dealers on the NFSL.
