It looks like the de-lamination happened before striking.this is just speculation as I am not an expert. Are the ridges as 3D as they look? Can you feel them when you run your fingers across? toasty New Member Canada 49 Posts	Posted 09/30/2016 05:41 am Yes I can feel the ridges, although the difference is rather small. I'd say about 0.25mm. First thought the coin was simply dirty, like coins stuck together in a car change holder with coffee dripped on them, due to the round shape of one of the lines. Report this Post to the Staff
