Hi Everyone,

I was wondering people's thoughts on a recent purchase.

The below 1809 Half to me looks like an 1809 O-106 due to the shield die line but I am by no means an expert!

1809-Half-Dollar---Overton-Variety-106?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe it's an O-103 (R1). Beautiful coin!

Thanks Zurie, on reflection and looking a bit more closely I think you're 100% correct.

Thanks! It was purchased from a German Auction house. The sale looked like it included a collector`s type set with a number of US coins all with similar cabinet tone. Was very happy to win this one!
