A bronze Greek coin measuring around 17 mm. I bought in a lot of unidentified coins last year and I've failed to identify it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is also undergoing treatment for the nasty corrosion seen in the picture. Edited by FlaviusJ 10/03/2016 07:14 am

Possibly Aegae. For comparison see: Aegae, Aeolis, 2nd-1st. C. BC. AE16, 4.48 gr. Helmeted head of Athena right. AIGAEWN, Zeus standing facing, holding eagle and sceptre, three monograms in left field. SNG Cop 9; cf SNG vA 1597 (monograms); cf Sear Greece 4167. Rare.

I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad you do. Neat coin.

Just asking here. Are the spots of bright green potentially bronze disease or is just a little overexposure on the picture?

That is bronze disease and is pretty advanced in some areas. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad.
