Looks like environmental damage to me. Most likely not able to be fixed either.

The green spots on the Obv are verdi-gris, and depending on how deep it goes, even if treated, it may leave small craters. Sorry

That is what I call a "Pickled Penny".
It has been exposed to an acid or alkaline substance, The Salmon colouring is a dead giveaway

ok, so someone tried to clean it at one stage and it turned a strange red/purple color. Thanks for your help. Guess I will call it Pickle Penny?
