Underneath "LIBERTY" looks like a lamination. There is also a crack through the head that looks suspicious. Thoughts and opinions appreciated. Thanks.

I can see it on the head that is a lamination issue. (it flows in a straight line area) But under LIBERTY a closer shot would help a bit more. I see some coin disturbance on the shoulder. So I wondered if it is more of a coin damage issue there?

I see a lam across the face but I'm not sure about the other area

i agree..i can see the lamination issue from the hair - to the area infront of the face.

i see you have posted a couple of "53" coins - recently..

you must be having some fun with "53".

(also my birth year)

The area on the right appears to look like the surface is peeled back. The other looks somewhat cracked under my loupe but is hard to get a good pic of it.
