Hey world dudes. So I just grabbed this up and noticed its an obvious tripled die reverse with all date numerals, the mm & some leaves surrounding it tripled. My question is has anyone seen this and would it garner a premium over the standard $250 +/- they go for? There is also some clashing most noticiably next to the eye and and in front of her face. Thanks for the help...

i don't know much about these but I think personally that unless the doubling is super noticeable it will just be seen as a bullion coin simply because of their reputation of such.

First and foremost, congratulations on picking up this nice gold Helvetia! I really like these "Swiss Miss" coins and your appears to be a nice uncirculated example.

If I'm interpreting the photos correctly the tripling appears to be strike tripling rather than hub doubling (tripling) or a doubled (tripled) die.

However, even if it were a hub or die variety there is currently very limited demand for such varieties on world coins among collectors outside of North America.

The interest in die varieties is mostly limited to collectors in the US and Canada on coins of US and Canada. I will say that with interest in world coins climbing in the US a small contingent of these folks are starting to look for varieties among world coins. However, there are many coins of many different countries to consider and I am not yet aware of any who specialize in varieties of these Swiss gold bullion coins.

In summary, a cool coin with a beautiful design. Valuable for its gold content and whatever collector interest there may be in the type, but no real value in the market for the tripling.

I hope this is helpful.

Thanks guys, patAR, it is most definitely 100% tripled hub doubling. I get it though. I might get a small premium if I find the right guy or at least a quick sale at normal price at best.

Also picked this one up which I think is waaay cooler. Its a super-clashed with killer letter transfer and strong design elements from both sides juxtaposed...

Very cool!

Just because there isn't a big following for world die varieties now doesn't mean there couldn't be in the future. Perhaps you could be the one to start that specialty in Swiss Miss die varieties! I would buy that book!

Cheers
