Hello all

Is there a place where I can see how much silver is in commemoratives, and their sizes? Most sites tell about the event being commemorated, but don't tell much about the coin itself.

Thanks!

Also, a Red Book would be a great place to get information.

The $1 commems are pre-1936 standards(90% 26.73g 38.1mm) and the half dollar commems(Moderns) are usually Cu-Ni clad but the occasional silver one is pre-1965 standards(90% 12.5g 31mm). All of the classic half dollar commems are pre-1965 standards as well.

Yes, the new $1 silver commems have the same specs as old silver dollars(pre-1936), the silver half commems have the same specs as pre-1965 halves, and the clad half commems have the same specs as a current half dollar. The gold commems also have the same specs for their respective denominations.
