Hey, guys, what do you think? I can't find anything about this variety anywhere, but it sure looks like a repunched mint mark to me.

Split platting. No RPM's after 1989.

That is also split plating. There are no RPM's after 1989 because in 1989 the mint stopped handpunching mintmarks into the die. Split plating is when on zincolns the plating splits, pretty self explanitory.

Thanks. I eventually figured it out. There IS such a thing as split PLATTING, too, but it has to do with property mapping (I worked with properties and plat splits for lots of years, so trying to figure out what that meant in terms of coins had me a bit baffled).
