Is this an RPM? If not. What is wrong with this mintmark? Thanks for any information.

In 1994 the mintmark was a part of the die so it cannot be a rpm. It looks like a gas bubble to me. You will find alot of these in the Zincoln cents.

Zinc rot, the mint stopped hand punching the mintmarks into the die in 1989, so it literally impossible for an RPM of a later date. If the mintmark does look doubled, it may be a doubled die

Cool I obviously didnt know that lol. I really appreciate all the information. I don't think it's a doubled die, probably just a gas bubble or zinc rot as y'all stated. Thx again

The plting on the coin was split during the strike. When the zinc got air, it started to break the planchet down. Creating a crater under the edge of the mint mark on the SW. This was common on the coins from the 1980's that were RPMs, but it is still happening when the mint mark punch is part of the design. Probably if you look on other parts of the coin you might see on the reverse areas around the tops of the devices and areas outside the Memorial where you can see this happening as well. This is caused when the coin was struck with too much pressure.
