PCGS would grade that one MS-63 brown. The mark on the chin is pretty detracting...

Here is a little grading history with respect to this coin. This coin was originally sold to an Ottawa client in a PCGS holder as MS-63RB with a stipulation that the coin would cross at ICCS within a grade. It was subsequently sent to ICCS for a cross where it came back MS-60BR. The client was not happy with the purchase and I subsequently took the coin back. I then decided to relieve it of the PCGS holder and send it in raw to ICCS. It has now come back ICCS MS62 TR which is where it probably belongs.

I was going to say au58 or ms 62. Looks like the slightest handling wear, but ms62 is fair IMO

As usual, the grading services prove to be nothing better than a roll of the dice.

So my theory on that is that looking at a coin raw vs through an older PCGS holder makes a difference.

I have a few large cent coins that are graded MS-60 - MS-62 in ICCS flips when I study the coins the condition is very close to one another but I think the key is the MS-62 have a lot more red color or traces of red on them. I also have not seen any brown large cent coins or very few if any that have a MS-63 grade assigned to them maybe an ICCS thing.
